Competition leader Wyong provides an acid test for the Vodafone Warriors this weekend as their bid for a top two finish comes down to the final two rounds of the Intrust Super Premiership’s regular season.

The second-placed Vodafone Warriors are four points behind the Roos and just two points ahead of third-placed Penrith as they eye Saturday’s 24^th-round encounter at Morry Breen Oval (3.00pm).

The Roos have lost just four games this season to sit on 37 points with the Vodafone Warriors on 33.

When the two sides met in Auckland in the ninth round, Wyong held on for a 20-14 win in a tough battle.

The Ricky Henry-coached side has captain Mason Lino back on deck after a four-game stint in the NRL but prop Charlie Gubb, who performed strongly in last Sunday’s 26-16 win over Wentworthville, has been lost to the first-grade squad.

Also coming into the line-up is Vodafone Junior Warriors second rower Joe Vuna, who has been named on the bench.

While the Vodafone Warriors face Wyong, the third-placed Panthers are at home to fifth-placed North Sydney on Saturday.
