NRL Fantasy team changes are being made franticly ahead of the first clash of round one. There are some bolters, and some positional changes that could see a boost in some player’s points. In our team to play the Eels, the prospect of a few 107k forwards means that prices rises are guaranteed.

John Palavi will wear the 13 jumper and could do a lot of tackling in the early part of the game. No doubt he will be one of the forwards rotated for Mateo and Lousi off the bench, but with the past performances of young guns such as Ben Henry and Elijah Taylor early in their careers, he could prove to be a high scorer given his similar path to the top grade.

Jason Bukuya and Simon Mannering look set to do a lot of work, it will be interesting how the tackle count is split at the end of this one. Mannering will almost certainly play 80, while Bukuya has proven in the past he has the ability to do the same. He may see a stint on the bench, but the hardworking second rower will get through a mountain of tackles and meters while on the park.

The only notable change in the backline is Carlos Tuimavave, a player with a $107k price tag who can glide through the line, score a try or throw a bullet pass to his winger for a try in the corner. If the ball goes to his side on attack, the combinations with Fish, Tomkins and Johnson could see points scored.
