Manu Vatuvei gave faithful member Mark Mallard a surprise visit as a thank-you for his support during the 2014 season.
Mark, a member for the past seven years was invited to Mount Smart for what he thought was a basic interview getting his thoughts on the past season. He got more than he bargained for, though.
Part way through the interview Mark was surprised by Manu, his favourite player, who presented him with a jersey.
Mark has been coming along to Mount Smart with his wife and seven year old son, who was brought along when he was three months old. Mark now coaches his son at Howick Hornets and at one point Manu offered his son a pro-tip on how to grow big and strong: eat your vegetables.
