The three-time NYC premiership-winning Vodafone Junior Warriors will sport a fresh look when they begin their quest for a fourth title in 2015.
Heading into the club’s 20th anniversary season the NYC team’s playing kit has been given a scheduled three-yearly redesign by Canterbury of New Zealand.
Like the NRL team’s new home strip unveiled last week, the Vodafone Junior Warriors’ jersey features the club’s consistent core colours of black, red and white to link it to the top side. It also has contemporary, clean striping which is unique to the champion team’s jersey while also carrying embroidered 20th anniversary, Holden Cup and Canterbury of New Zealand logos.
Logos for on-jersey sponsors Vodafone, DEWALT and TNT are sublimated into the garment.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors stand apart as the most successful NRL or NYC team this century. They’ve claimed an unrivalled three premierships (2010, 2011 and 2014) while the best in the NRL since and including 2000 are Brisbane, the Sydney Roosters and Manly with two titles each; the Vodafone Junior Warriors have also made the NYC finals in each of the seven seasons the competition has been running, an achievement no other NYC side comes close to matching.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors’ new home jersey (adults’ and kids’ sizes only) can be pre-ordered at www.warriorsstore.co.nz now and will be available from December.
