North Shore police have issued this media release following the theft of Vodafone Warriors playing gear and other equipment from the club's gear van last night:

 

Police are investigating the theft of a number of items stolen from a vehicle in Torbay which included Warriors uniforms and equipment.

Between 4.10am and 4.45am this morning, the vehicle containing players’ uniforms, GPS units and a video drone among other items were stolen from the van.

“There are a number of very distinctive items that were taken and police are appealing to anyone who has information to contact us immediately. The Warriors' playing strip is particularly identifiable and we’re asking for anyone who hears of any items that they think may be associated with the Warriors to call us as soon as possible. The items stolen need to be returned to their rightful owners and those responsible held accountable.” said Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray.

Police are conducting inquiries which includes reviewing CCTV footage and scene of crime officers have attended the scene.
