Fans thanked for helping police recover stolen gear

Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George has today thanked fans and the general public for helping police recover gear and equipment stolen this week.

The NRL squad’s full away kit, GPS units and other equipment were taken from the club’s gear van on Auckland’s North Shore early on Monday morning following the Vodafone Warriors’ away win in Canberra.

“We’re thrilled to learn from the police that they’ve recovered the stolen gear,” said George.

“It took some of the gloss off our terrific win over the Raiders but this news and last night’s fantastic victory over the Sydney Roosters have made up for it.

“We’d especially like to thank all our fans and the public who helped the police in every way they could to bring about the return of the gear.

“We have a huge week ahead of us with the historic SKYCITY Auckland Double Header and getting our gear back has done so much to lift everyone’s spirits.”
