The Vodafone Warriors' form revival faces a stern test in Saturday's ninth-round Intrust Super Premiership clash against competition leaders the Mounties at GIO Stadium in Canberra (12.45pm kick-off local time; 2.45pm NZT).
Coach John Teina's side has put together a run of three straight wins in the last three weeks to sit on 10 points with four other teams just two behind the Mounties.
Ranking fifth on points for and against, the Vodafone Warriors have rebounded from a low point against Western Suburbs – when they lost 0-32 – to beat the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles 34-4, St George Illawarra 37-24 and Newtown 20-18 in torrential rain last weekend.
Named to return to the side is centre Anthony Gelling, who has been with the club's NRL squad for the last few weeks. Also back in the line-up is second rower Joe Vuna after making his NRL debut against Melbourne on Anzac Day.
With Karl Lawton named in the NRL line-up, Manaia Cherrington is listed to start at hooker and utility Zac Santo, a try scorer on the wing last Saturday, has been named in the halves.
The Mounties have won their last two, pumping Wyong 44-4 last weekend.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors have a break for the next two weeks in the Jersey Flegg Cup.
