Vodafone Warriors fully tested by Auckland

Auckland provided the Vodafone Warriors with a tough examination in their second and final trial ahead of their campaign in the inaugural NRL women’s premiership next month.

When the two teams met on August 10, the Vodafone Warriors worked their way to a big lead before winning 32-4.

The complexion of the second meeting on Saturday was in stark contrast to the first.

Playing on Mount Smart Stadium, Auckland had the Vodafone Warriors stretched before the Luisa Avaiki-coached side came away with a 20-16 win.

The Vodafone Warriors will be holding a members’ and family day at Mount Smart Stadium No 4 on Saturday (September 1). The squad will have a field session from 10.00am-12.00pm after which the players will mingle with members and family.
