Only the Vodafone Junior Warriors will be in action in the Jersey Flegg Cup this weekend with all Canterbury Cup NSW sides having a bye.
The Jersey Flegg team travels to Sydney for a Magic Round featuring four games on Saturday and three on Sunday all at Leichhardt Oval.
The Canterbury Cup will have its own Magic Round split between Panthers Stadium and Henson Park in the 10th round on May 18 and 19.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors are in action first this Sunday facing tough opposition in the second-placed Sydney Roosters.
The Roosters are sitting on 11 points, one behind Cronulla, after collecting fives wins and a draw in their first seven matches.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors had their third loss at home last Sunday, going down 12-34 to the Knights to slip to 10th on the ladder but still only four behind the Roosters.
After impressing for the club’s Canterbury Cup side in their win over Newcastle on Sunday, the skilful Paul Turner returns in the halves. He scored a miraculous try in the 28-12 win while front rower Phillip Makatoa is also back after he too played a key role with a try of his own for the Canterbury Cup team.
