Experienced NRL front rower Sam Lisone makes his return from injury when the Vodafone Warriors face Penrith in Saturday’s 10th-round Canterbury Cup NSW clash at Panthers Stadium (12.45pm kick-off local time; 2.45pm NZT).
Lisone has been side-lined with a hamstring injury he picked up playing for the Canterbury Cup side last month.
His comeback coincides with the competition’s own Magic Round with three games being played at Panthers Stadium on Saturday followed by another three at Henson Park on Sunday.
Lisone, who has played 77 NRL games, is named in a starting pack which boasts fellow first graders in Blake Ayshford, Leivaha Pulu and Chris Satae.
Also included in the backs again is seasoned NRL centre Solomone Kata along with Hayze Perham, Adam Keighran and Chanel Harris-Tavita, who have all made their NRL debuts this season.
The 10th-placed Vodafone Warriors go into the match on the back of their most impressive performance so far this season when they beat Newcastle 28-12 on May 5.
They face a difficult assignment in Penrith, running second on the ladder.
