Auckland, New Zealand, April 14, 2002 – Ivan Cleary bagged a club record-equalling 28 points as the Vodafone Warriors ran up their biggest score in their history swamping the Northern Eagles 68-10 at Ericsson Stadium today.

Coming off a 50-20 romp against North Queensland last week, the home side was irresistible as it ran up 11 tries with halfback Stacey Jones bagging a hat-trick.

The Daniel Anderson-coached side was in complete control by halftime leading 32-6 and didn’t let up after the break rattling on 36 more points at close to a point a minute.

Fullback Cleary was perfect with the boot slotting 12 goals from 12 attempts and scoring a try to match Gene Ngamu’s club record set against North Queensland in 1996.
