As he has done throughout his career, prop Leeson Ah Mau demonstrated his key traits of consistency and reliability during what proved to be his third and final season with the Vodafone Warriors.
After missing all but the opening two rounds of the 2020 campaign following a pectoral injury, the 31-year-old Aucklander played in each of the first 18 matches of the season before being released on compassionate grounds to return home to be reunited with his family.
Ah Mau opened the season with a rare try in the round one win over Gold Coast; it was his first and ultimately his only try in 44 games for the Vodafone Warriors, his first since 2018 and just the seventh of his 223-game career.
Averaging 40 minutes, 74 metres and close to 25 tackles a game, he missed only nine tackles (a 98 per cent tackle efficiency rate) all season.
