After making his NRL debut late in the 2020 season, middle forward Tom Ale appeared just twice for the Vodafone Warriors this year while making seven appearances for feeder club Redcliffe.
He was limited to a total of only 34 minutes in early-season matches against Manly in the fifth round and Melbourne in the seventh round but he also had three outings for feeder club Redcliffe in the Intrust Super Cup in the opening rounds.
An ankle injury kept him sidelined for much of the year but when he finally recovered he was outstanding for Dolphins including match numbers of 236 metres and 35 tackles in one game. He finished the Intrust Super Cup season with seven matches, averaging 137 metres and almost 18 tackles a game.
Injury struck in Redcliffe’s final match of the season when Ale suffered a knee injury.
