Vodafone Warriors lock in trials against Storm and Titans

Regular preseason rivals Melbourne and Gold Coast are again lined up for trials against the Vodafone Warriors ahead of the club’s 28th NRL campaign.

They’re due to travel to Victoria for a hit-out against the Storm in suburban Melbourne on February 19 while they’ll be at their 2022 home Moreton Daily Stadium in Redcliffe for their final dress rehearsal on February 26.

Last season the Vodafone Warriors had just one official trial due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their intended clash with the Storm in Melbourne was cancelled leaving them with only an encounter with the Titans in Lismore (which finished in a 12-12 draw).

Then two weeks later the same two sides met in the opening round of regular season when the Vodafone Warriors worked their way to a 19-6 win in Gosford.

It will be close to a repeat scenario this year with the Vodafone Warriors and the Titans clashing on February 26 and then in the second round three weeks later in Robina.
