Confirmed line-up: Taylor and Arthars to debut

The Vodafone Warriors line up as selected 1-17 for their second-round NRL match against Gold Coast at Cbus Super Stadium in Robina today (2.00pm kick-off local time; 5.00pm NZT).

As well as the two competition points, the Zae Wallace Shield is also at stake today.

The shield, held by the Titans, is contested for each time the Vodafone Warriors and Gold Coast meet.

The shield commemorates former New Zealand Secondary Schools and under-18 representative Wallace, who died at the age of 20 from an infection caused by the flu in 2019. He had played for Gold Coast's under-20 side.

A feature of today's encounter will be rookie sensation Reece Walsh and front rower Matt Lodge appearing for the first time this season after missing the Vodafone Warriors' opening match against St George Illawarra through suspension.

Standoff-halfback Nikorima (#18) is confirmed as their replacement and 18th man while winger Edward Kosi (#25) is the official reserve.

The five players to drop out of the expanded squad yesterday were Ben Murdoch-Masila, Jack Murchie, Pride Petterson-Robati, Taniela Otukolo and Junior Ratuva.

Petterson-Robati travelled with the squad as Covid cover while Murdoch-Masila, Murchie, Otukolo and Ratuva are all set to play for the Redcliffe Dolphins in their season-opening Queensland Cup encounter with the Sunshine Coast Falcons at Moreton Daily Stadium later today (6.00pm kick-off local time; 9.00pm NZT).

The Titans are also confirmed 1-17 for today's encounter.
