Newcastle's unbeaten start to the 2022 Telstra Premiership season has seen them also lead the way in the Round 2 NRL Team of the Week with three players making this week's team.
No team had more players selected this week than the Novocastrians, with only Brisbane — who are also undefeated — having three players voted in as well.
Storm stars Ryan Papenhuyzen and Harry Grant both dominated the voting for their respective positions, while Panthers forward Viliame Kikau starred in his 100th NRL game to win selection in the back row alongside Tyson Frizell.
Nicho Hynes wrapped up a perfect first home game in the Shire by claiming the halfback spot, partnering current Dally M leader Jake Clifford in the halves.
