Signs are promising for Vodafone Warriors forward Ben Murdoch-Masila to make a return to the field in two to three weeks.
Murdoch-Masila was side-lined with a leg injury following a hip drop tackle by Brisbane’s Thomas Flegler on April 2.
The Mate Ma’a Tonga international was helped from the field just 18 minutes into his stint from the interchange bench.
Specialist follow-up assessment and treatment have eliminated any serious concern and the Vodafone Warriors are now hopeful he could be available to return in either round eight or nine.
Second rower Jack Murchie picked up a minor calf strain in the Vodafone Warriors’ 25-24 golden point win over North Queensland last Friday night. It was his first NRL outing of the season.
He is also expected to be available again in either round eight or nine.
Captain Tohu Harris is also on track to come back from his knee injury next month.
Also unavailable this week is utility forward Jazz Tevaga, who is serving the second game of a two-match suspension.
