Kiwis, Tongans and ex-Warriors in Roosters' extended squad

Frontline Kiwi internationals Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Joey Manu plus Mate Ma’a Tonga forwards Siosiua Taukeiaho and Sitili Tupouniua provide a potent quartet of New Zealand-born players in the Sydney Roosters’ line-up to face the Vodafone Warriors in tomorrow’s sixth-round NRL contest at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Rotorua-born warhorse Waerea-Hargreaves (33), now in his 14th season, makes his 266th NRL appearance. He first faced the Vodafone Warriors in 2010.

Tokoroa-raised centre Manu and Auckland-born ex-Warrrior and Otara Scorpions junior Taukeiaho are both seasoned 100-games plus first graders.

Aucklander Tupouniua, a Marist Saints junior, plays his 67th NRL match tomorrow.

The Roosters’ extended bench includes Adam Keighran, who played nine times for the Vodafone Warriors in 2019 and 2020 followed by 15 appearances for the Roosters last season.
