It was the defining moment in the Vodafone Warriors' comeback - Daejarn Asi's bone-rattling shot on Canberra halfback Brad Schneider.

And now it has been hailed as the tackle of the week from the NRL's eighth round, overpowering the other three contenders by claiming 41 per cent of the votes.

Just seven minutes into the second half of Saturday's clash - and down 12-20 on the scoreboard - the Vodafone Warriors were under siege again.

The Raiders were deep inside their red zone, seemingly poised to extend their lead.

Harry Rushton shifted the ball right to Schneider when out of nowhere a blue blur jetted in on an angle to flatten the Canberra playmaker with a perfectly-executed spot tackle.

On a day when Asi had already made his presence felt in his first appearance for the club, it was a match-turning moment which the Vodafone Warriors fed off.

They began to make some gains eventually resulting in Asi sending Euan Aitken over to bring the scored back to 18-20 with 15 minutes to play before Reece Walsh's late game-levelling penalty and Shaun Johnson's golden point winner.
