Vodafone Warriors interim head coach Stacey Jones has brought second rower Jack Murchie into the starting line-up for today's 19th-round NRL clash against the Raiders at GIO Stadium in Canberra (3.00pm kick-off local time; 5.00pm NZT).

Murchie will line up on the right edge with Josh Curran coming into the game off the interchange.

Curran joins Reece Walsh, Bunty Afoa and Eliesa Katoa on the bench. Prop Jackson Frei is 18th man.

When the squad was reduced to 19 players 24 hours before kick-off, the 22-year-old Katoa was brought onto the interchange bench to replace Aaron Pene, who has a virus and has been ruled out.

Katoa is set for his 41st career game, all of which have been played in Australia since his debut on 2020.

It will be his 10th appearance this season and his first since the 11th-round loss to St George Illawarra. He has been the official game day reserve for five other matches without making it onto the field (including the homecoming match against Wests Tigers at Mount Smart Stadium on July 3).

Katoa has also appeared four times for feeder club Redcliffe in the Hostplus Cup this season including a 60-minute stint in last weekend's 54-16 win over Norths Devils.
