Photographer doesn’t miss a beat snapping flying DWZ

Photographer James Gourley took up-close-and-personal to another level when he snapped One New Zealand Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak in his trademark airborne try-scoring mode on Saturday night.

Watene-Zelezniak zoned in for another high-flying putdown – his 13th try of the season – as the Warriors trounced Parramatta 46-10.

Gourley was perfectly positioned to capture the moment as Watene-Zelezniak soared towards the right-hand corner – but got a lot more than he bargained on.

In a split second Watene-Zelezniak had clattered into Gourley but immediately sprang to his feet to help the photographer up and check he wasn’t injured.

Gourley, with a camera in each hand, never shirked his job as he snapped a stunning series of frames of the incident.

And beside him Photosport shooter David Nielson took a sequence of images from another perspective.
