Like One New Zealand Warriors captain Tohu Harris, outstanding front rower Addin Fonua-Blake has been a regular selection in the NRL’s VB Hard Earned Team of the Week this season and he makes the side again after his deeds in the golden point win over Canberra last Friday night.
The big man was also rewarded for his efforts the previous week in the 44-12 trouncing of Cronulla Sutherland when he scored 106 points, comfortably the best of the week.
Despite gritty contributions from other teammates, Fonua-Blake was the only One New Zealand Warriors player included this week.
He played a total of 69 minutes, 55 in his first stint. From 20 runs he made 205 metres with 89 post contact metres plus 34 tackles.
Leading all comers for most post-contact metres this season (1208), Fonua-Blake is second for most metres (3226) – and has topped 200 in a game three times – and sixth for most runs with 309.
