With their golden point win over Canberra, the One New Zealand Warriors have moved up to third in the NRL Power Rankings this week, matching their position on the points table.
The victory over the Raiders was their sixth in their last seven matches, improving their record to 12-7 after 21 rounds.
After last week’s round of matches, Penrith and Brisbane remained first and second in the Power Rankings.
The Warriors have been inside the top eight after every round bar one this season (after the 10th round when they slipped to 11th before rebounding to eighth a week later).
It’s the first time since 2007 that the One New Zealand Warriors have been in the top four this late in a campaign; that year they were fourth after 20 rounds, drifted outside the top four for three weeks and then rallied to finish the regular season in fourth place to earn a week one home final.
