Outstanding One New Zealand Warriors front rower Addin Fonua-Blake blitzed the field as the top points-scoring player in this week’s NRL VB Hard Earned Team of the Week.
With his power-packed all-round display in the team's 30-22 round 24 win over the Wests Tigers in Hamilton, Fonua-Blake finished with an astonishing 110 points - 17 points clear of the next best - to be named the VB Hard Earned hero of the week.
Fonua-Blake has consistently gained a spot in the team this season along with his fellow workhorse and One New Zealand Warriors captain Tohu Harris. Harris also made the team yet again this week with a haul of 86 points.
Fonua-Blake was on the field for the first 59 minutes of the match before returning for another 11 minutes 40 seconds late in the contest when he scored the team’s match-sealing try in the 76th minute.
That try lifted his tally to an amazing seven for the season, comfortably the most by a front rower. He finished with 270 metres from 27 runs including 80 post contact metres along with six tackle breaks and 27 tackles.
Harris played the full 80 minutes doubling his try tally after scoring his first the previous week against the Titans. He totalled 177 metres from 22 runs and made 33 tackles.
