A line-up including nine players with NRL experience has been named by the One New Zealand Warriors for their sudden-death New South Wales Cup play-off against Canberra at Leichhhardt Oval in Sydney on Saturday (1.00pm kick-off local time; 3.00pm NZT).

With the club’s NRL side calling on many of their regular players, the third-placed Warriors fielded an understrength side which pushed second-placed South Sydney in a 12-26 loss at North Sydney Oval last week.

However, coach Slade Griffin has a much-changed team at his disposal as the Warriors seek to move to week three of the finals.

Five of the backs boast first-grade experience through centres Brayden Wiliame and Ali Leiataua, wingers Edward Kosi and Moala Graham-Taufa and halfback Ronald Volkman.

Hooker Paul Roache and second rower Kalani Going – who both made their NRL debuts last week – are joined by seasoned middle forwards James Gavet and Tom Ale. Also returning after being 18th man for the NRL team against the Dolphins is second rower Jacob Laban.

While the One New Zealand Warriors fell to the Rabbitohs last week, the Raiders kept their season alive with a thrilling 24-22 win over the Sea Eagles, coming back from a 12-22 deficit with two converted tries in the last quarter.

The Warriors took out both regular season matches against the Raiders, winning 36-14 in Canberra and then 21-20 in Auckland.
