Shaun Johnson’s clutch penalty in the final seconds secured a remarkable 32-30 win as the Warriors recovered from a 0-20 deficit midway through the first half.
The match-winning act has resulted in the One New Zealand Warriors being included among 10 finalists for the Favourite Sporting Moment to be announced at the 61st ISPS Handa Halberg Awards gala dinner in Auckland on February 14.
Fans can now vote once a day on www.halberg.co.nz/vote through to 9.00pm on Wednesday, February 14.
The inclusion as a contender for this award follows the One New Zealand Warriors being named as finalists for the Halberg Team of the Year accolade following their unforgettable NRL season.
