Scoring a total of 10 tries including a hat-trick to centre Quinnlan Tupou, the One New Zealand Warriors’ New South Wales Cup side cruised to a 50-12 win in their trial hit-out against Counties Manukau at Go Media Stadium on Saturday.

Tupou had his treble inside 25 minutes as the Warriors raced to a 30-0 halftime lead.

The scoring rate slowed in the second half with Counties Manukau having some joy scoring two tries.

A total of 15 players had time on the field in the Warriors’ NRL trial in Christchurch last week.

The David Tangatatoa-coached Warriors begin their New South Wales Cup campaign against the Newtown Jets at Go Media Stadium on Friday, March 8.
