With their breakthrough win behind them, the One New Zealand Warriors now launch a series of five consecutive home games to round off the regular season of their debut campaign in the Harold Matthews Cup (under-17) competition.

They had the unenviable task of playing each of their first three matches in Australia.

After losing to the highly-fancied Parramatta they pushed the Roosters in an 18-28 loss before pulling off their first victory in the competition and doing so in dramatic fashion, coming back to snatch a 22-17 win with a powerhouse Lennox Tuiloma try in the final play of the match.

The result lifted the Warriors to 11th on the ladder but more importantly boosted their confidence as they launch a run of five double headers in Pukekohe alongside their under-19 SG Ball Cup clubmates.
