Strap in for the ride as the One New Zealand Warriors count the days and hours before they launch their 30th NRL season under the lights on Friday night (game day presented by GWM).
Fans who haven’t secured seats by now need to move quickly to witness a rare season-opener at Go Media Stadium, the club’s first round one match at their home ground since 2019 and only the third in the last 15 seasons.
They face the highly-fancied Cronulla Sutherland Sharks (8.00pm kick-off) on a doubleheader bill preceded by the round one New South Wales Cup clash against the Newtown Jets (5.15pm kick-off).
Gates open at 5.00pm for what will be the One New Zealand Warriors’ first round one match at the ground since they beat Canterbury Bankstown 40-6 on March 16, 2019. The only other Go Media Stadium season opener since 2009 was against Newcastle in 2017.
The night will bring an array of game day highlights including the lights going out for the NRL team’s spine-tingling ground entrance, a lights and fireworks show at halftime and attractions in the GWM Fan Zone at the northern end of the ground.
All members and fans are encouraged to come kitted out in their favourite One New Zealand Warriors apparel while the club’s SuperStore will be in business with a range of merchandise produced by new apparel partner Dynasty Sports.
On the field supporters have the chance to see all players from the club’s wider squad in action as they kick off a campaign to remember.
