Jersey Flegg Cup Rd 1 Team List: v Sharks

Seven players who appeared for the One New Zealand Warriors’ 2023 SG Ball Cup team will line up for the club’s Jersey Flegg Cup (under-21) side in Sunday’s first-round encounter with Cronulla Sutherland at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe (1.45pm kick-off).

Among them is centre Patrick Moimoi, who played in the Warriors’ first NRL trial against the Wests Tigers in Christchurch on February 18.

The other six are captain and prop Harry Durbin, fullback Phranklyn Mano Le Mamea, centre William Piliu, second Presley Seumanu-Tigafua and interchange players Siale Feamani and Ben Peni. An eighth player - loose forward Ieti Samuelu - was in last year’s SG Ball squad but injury prevented him playing.

New Jersey Flegg Cup coach Paul Pou has Also included in Sunday’s line-up is former Penrith half Luke Hanson who, like Moimoi, had time on the field in the NRL trial in Christchurch.
