Co-captain Kaawyn Patterson bagged a double to help the One New Zealand Warriors to their fourth consecutive win as they accounted for Canberra 26-10 in their seventh-round Harold Matthews Cup (under-17) encounter at Pukekohe’s Navigation Homes Stadium on Sunday.
The five-tries-to-two victory lifted the Warriors to 10 points and sixth place on the ladder with two rounds of the regular season to go.
Making their debut in the renowned pathways competition, the One New Zealand Warriors have bounced back from losing their opening two matches to two of the leading teams (Parramatta and the Roosters) to stitch together an impressive run of wins over South Sydney (22-17), Balmain (16-4), Illawarra (26-16) and now the Raiders.
