Hooker Freddy Lussick has been signed on a new two-year contract locking him in with the One New Zealand Warriors until the end of the 2026 NRL season.
The 23-year-old made his 36th career appearance and 25th for the Warriors when he started in the dummy half role for injured Wayde Egan in last night’s heartbreaking 26-30 last-gasp loss to the Storm in Melbourne.
“Freddy has been a valuable member of our NRL squad since joining us when we were based in Queensland in 2022,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“He comes from a family which has an impressive background in the game and, as a player and a person, he provides exactly what we need.”
One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster said Lussick’s commitment to the club was impressive.

Lussick said he’s committed to improve his game and contribute to the club’s goals.
“Obviously I’m extremely excited to extend my time here at the Warriors,” he said.
“As a team and a club it feels like we are really clear in our direction at the moment.

He’s the youngest of three Lussick brothers to fashion NRL careers. The eldest of them Darcy played 117 NRL games in total for Manly Warringah and Parramatta from 2011 to 2017 before playing for the Toronto Wolfpack, Salford Red Devils and Featherstone Rovers.
Hooker Joey had one game for Manly in 2017, spent three seasons with Salford in England, returned to the NRL to play nine times for Parramatta, had a stint with St Helens in the Super League and is now back with the Eels.
The l,ussick brothers’ father Jason made three NRL appearances for Manly in 1998 and 1999, two of which were against the Warriors.
