Warriors locked and loaded: Ready. Set. Vegas.

One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George has hailed inclusion in the NRL’s Las Vegas round next year as one of the most exciting and significant ventures in the club’s history.

The NRL has officially confirmed the Warriors will join the Penrith Panthers, CronullaSutherland Sharks and Canberra Raiders in the second edition of the season-opening extravaganza at Allegiant Stadium.

In an expanded programme, there’ll also be a Super League encounter pitting the Wigan Warriors against the Warrington Wolves plus a women’s international between the Australian Jillaroos and the England Lionesses.

The matches will be played on Saturday, March 1, just nine days before the 30th anniversary of the Warriors’ debut in the Australian competition on March 10, 1995.

The One New Zealand Warriors will be the away team taking on the Raiders while the Panthers face the Sharks.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be involved in an event that will provide our club, members and fans with an unbelievable experience,” said George.

Now our fans have the chance to climb on board to see their team break new ground by playing in the United States for the first time

“It was amazing seeing the impact this year’s event had as the NRL took premiership games outside Australia and New Zealand for the first time.

“We’re so proud to be New Zealand’s only club in the competition and, as such, we will be doing all we can to add another dimension to the occasion next year.

“Our members and fans are the best in the game. They’ve been packing out our home games in record numbers, they follow us around the country and support us brilliantly in our away games.

“Now they will have the chance to climb on board to see their team break new ground by playing in the United States for the first time.”

While NRL-exclusive packages are available to purchase now, George confirmed that a range of One New Zealand Warriors products for travel to Las Vegas would be released in the near future.

“This will be another tremendous opportunity for rugby league and also for us specifically to promote ourselves to the American market,” he said.

“We’re confident we can attract a huge crowd of ex-patriate Kiwis in the United States as well as having a big contingent of travelling fans with us.”

Rugby League in Las Vegas 2025 will kick off on Wednesday, February 26 with a packed programme of events leading up to a game day providing eight teams and four games with just one ticket. More information to follow in the coming weeks.

  • Individual general public tickets, purchased outside of travel packages, will be available for purchase on Friday, July 26.
