NSW Cup Team List: Roache makes return

Utility Paul Roache returns from a two-month injury lay-off to line up for the One New Zealand Warriors in their 21st-round New South Wales Cup clash against Western Suburbs at Go Media Stadium on Friday night (5.15pm kick-off).

Starting at hooker in his fourth NRL match of the year, Roache was forced off the field with an ankle injury just 10 minutes into the 12th-round encounter with the Dolphins.

He has been named to start at halfback in a Warriors side which has climbed to third on the New South Wales Cup ladder on the back of an outstanding run of form.

It has seen the Warriors net nine wins and a draw with just two defeats in their last 12 matches since beating the Dragons on April 20. The most recent success before last weekend’s bye was a stunning 46-28 comeback win over Parramatta.

Roache has been paired with Luke Hanson in the halves in a squad showing a number of changes from the one used against the Eels.
