Maxigesic Recovery Report: Ford added to injury list

While forward Jackson Ford has been added to the One New Zealand Warriors’ injury list this week, four backs have been given the all-clear to return.

Ford left the field with a knee problem in the second half of last Friday night’s 28-16 win over Wests Tigers.

He has a PCL (post cruciate ligament) strain which is expected to keep him out until round 25 or 26.

On the positive side, Shaun Johnson (chronic Achilles tendinopathy), Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (calf), Taine Tuaupiki (concussion) and Luke Metcalf (leg) are all available.

Halfback Johnson, who was out for five weeks, will line up for the Warriors in their NRL clash against Parramatta on Friday night as will fullback Nicoll-Klokstad after being forced off the field in the golden point loss to the Bulldogs.

Tuaupiki comes back after leaving the field following a head knock just eight minutes into the round 20 match against Canberra; he will line up in Friday night’s New South Wales Cup encounter with the Eels.

And after being on the sideline for four months with a broken leg, Metcalf makes his comeback in the halves in the NSW Cup game.
