Jersey Flegg Team List: Striving to finish season strongly

Last week’s impressive comeback win over high-flying Canterbury Bankstown has boosted confidence for the One New Zealand Warriors ahead of their Jersey Flegg Cup (under-21) season finale against Cronulla Sutherland at PointsBet Stadium in Sydney on Saturday (5.20pm kick-off local time; 7.20pm NZT).

After the Bulldogs had piled on 16 points without response in the opening quarter, the Warriors launched an outstanding comeback which saw them score 32 unanswered points to triumph 32-16.

It was a superb recovery after being thumped 36-10 by the Sea Eagles the previous week.

Now they have the chance to go back-to-back to finish the season strongly as they hunt their third win in the last four rounds of the season.

The odds are again stacked against them, though, as they face a Sharks side which has blitzed opponents in its last five games rattling up more than 60 points once, 50 plus three times and hitting 40 once.

When the two sides met in the opening round of the season in March, Cronulla cruised to a 36-10 victory in Pukekohe.
