Hooker Wayde Egan has become the sixth member of the One New Zealand Warriors’ 2024 NRL squad to achieve the distinction of appearing in 100 NRL games for the club.

He’s the 30th – in the Warriors’ 30th season – on a list started by the great Stacey Jones in 1999.

Of the 100-game club members in this season’s squad three played in the Warriors’ final match of the season against Cronulla Sutherland on Saturday – retiring halfback Shaun Johnson, departing middle forward Jazz Tevaga and Egan.

Centre Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was ruled out with concussion, captain Tohu Harris is sidelined following wrist surgery and prop Bunty Afoa is on New South Wales Cup duty.

Johnson was the 23rd player to join the list when he made his 100th appearance in 2015 followed by Tuivasa-Sheck in 2021, Tevaga and Afoa in 2022, Harris last year and now Egan.

Former captain Simon Mannering (301), Jerome Ropati (145), Tevaga and Afoa are the only players in the 100 club whose entire first-grade careers have been played at the Warriors.
