Kiwi Ferns internationals Apii Nicholls, Mya Hill-Moana and Laishon Albert-Jones plus former Black Ferns star Shakira Baker head a list of 11 players contracted so far for the One New Zealand Warriors’ re-entry into the NRLW next season.
Front rower Noia Fotu-Moala became the latest signing this week - and a landmark one as the first player secured from grass roots rugby league in New Zealand.
Of the other 10 players signed for the comeback campaign, eight have NRLW experience including second rower Albert-Jones and centre-winger Emmanita Paki who have both been in premiership-winning Newcastle teams.
Fullback Nicholls is the most experienced rugby league player signed so far with 28 NRLW appearances for the original Warriors and the Raiders while prop Hill-Moana has played 25 games for the Roosters and Albert-Jones 19 for the Knights.
