SG Ball Cup draw hands Warriors just four home games

After having six home games and just three on the road this year, the One New Zealand Warriors will have only four outings in the Auckland region in the 2025 SG Ball Cup (under-19) competition.

Of those four matches, two will be played at North Harbour Stadium in Albany and two at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe.

It will be the Warriors’ fourth campaign in a competition renowned for igniting so many NRL careers.

They start with away encounters with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (February 1) and the Penrith Panthers (February 9) before a run of three home games.

The first two against the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs (February 16) and the Illawarra Steelers (February 23) will be at North Harbour Stadium before shifting to Pukekohe for the fifth-round match against the Melbourne Storm on March 2.

Three games on the road follow with the final regular season match against the Sydney Roosters back at Navigation Homes Stadium on April 6.

Across their three SG Ball campaigns in 2020, 2023 and 2024, the Warriors have played 24 games for a return of 11 wins, a draw and 12 losses.

They were lying third just one point off the top of the table when the 2020 competition was cut short by the Covid pandemic while they finished ninth in 2023 and 12th last year.
