Seasoned centre Adam Pompey has been secured on a two-year contract extension to stretch his stay with the One New Zealand Warriors until the end of the 2027 NRL season.
The 26-year-old, who was off-contract at the end of this season, starts his seventh first-grade season six games short of becoming the 31st player to make 100 NRL appearances for the Warriors.
After making his debut on the wing against Cronulla Sutherland in Wellington in 2019, the Wesley College product soon established himself as a centre going on to play 19 games in 2022, all 27 matches in 2023 and 14 in 2024.
“Adam stands out as one of our most consistent performers,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“He’s a great example of a quiet achiever and is now poised to play 100 games for the club. That’s a terrific achievement and a real credit to him.”

After playing in the One New Zealand Warriors’ first Preseason Challenge match against Cronulla Sutherland on February 7, Pompey was originally selected for the Māori All Stars for the third time to face the Indigenous All Stars last Saturday night.
A minor hand injury forced him out but he will be available for selection for the Warriors’ NRL season-opener against Canberra in Las Vegas on March 1 (March 2 NZT).
“Wets is such a valuable member of our squad, one of those players who always puts the team ahead of himself,” said One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.
“He works so hard at his game, so reliable and dedicated. He knows his role and always wants to improve. We love having him at the club.”
After arriving at Go Media Stadium on a train and trial deal in late 2018, Pompey brought up his 96th appearance in the round 25 match against the Bulldogs last year but missed the season finale against the Sharks with a knee injury.
