Fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad became the second One New Zealand Warriors player in consecutive weeks to claim the maximum Dally M points available after his Herculean performance in Friday night’s 14-6 win over the Roosters.

It follows Luke Metcalf's six-point haul for his show in the round two win over Manly Warringah.

The 29-year-old Nicoll-Klokstad was exceptional in front of 23,219 fans at Go Media Stadium on Friday night as he drove the Warriors on with a typically wholehearted display.

Of the team’s 204 total runs, he made 30 of them; and of the 2030 metres gained he contributed 316 alone including 96 post-contact metres. In one set he memorably carried the ball three times.

He had the game-high numbers in all three categories – but there was more by way of a line break, two line breaks assists, two try assists (for Ali Leiataua’s double), seven tackle breaks, no errors and a hand in the try saving tackle on Roosters winger Dominic Young.

For his deeds, Nicoll-Klokstad was awarded the full six Dally M points.

Centre Ali Leiataua and second rower Marata Niukore were awarded two points each while Roosters front rower Spencer Leniu and fullback James Tedesco picked up one point each.
