One New Zealand Warriors winger Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will be sidelined for up to eight weeks with the hamstring injury that forced him off the field in Friday night’s 14-6 round three win over the Roosters at Go Media Stadium.
The 216-game veteran has a high-grade hamstring strain which he suffered midway through the second half, moments before he made a critical try-saving tackle on his Roosters opposite Dominic Young.
An eight-week layoff would leave Tuivasa-Sheck in line to return in the round 11 match against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on May 17.
Joining him in recovery is 41-game prop Tom Ale, who has a mid-foot sprain he picked up playing for the club’s New South Wales Cup side in Friday night’s 46-12 victory against the Roosters.
Ale, yet to make an NRL appearance this season, will be unavailable for up to six weeks which would see him eyeing a possible return in round nine.
Winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak also remains on the injured list. He’s slated to return between rounds 10 and 14 after fracturing and dislocating his left wrist in the Preseason Challenge trial against the Sharks in February.
