After breaking through for their first win of the season, the One New Zealand Warriors will strive to back it up when they host a powerful South Sydney side in Sunday’s eighth-round SG Ball Cup (under-19) encounter at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe (1.00pm kick-off).
There was a sense of elation and relief when the luckless Warriors held off the St George Dragons for a 20-12 win, a result which saw them vault four other teams to to sit 12th on the ladder.
Now they face a team at the other end of the table in the second-placed South Sydney Rabbitohs who have lost just once this season and showed no mercy in dismissing Penrith 52-8 last week.
The One New Zealand Warriors will need to build on the heavy dose of resilience they showed in grinding out their win over the Dragons.
