Sky Sports Future Warriors
Sky and the One New Zealand Warriors joined forces in 2020 to launch the club's Sky Sport Future Warriors programme.
The partnership represents the shared commitment between the One New Zealand Warriors and Sky Sport to keep New Zealand’s top young players at home by giving them pathways to realise their dreams of playing for the club in the NRL.
“We can’t rely on love for New Zealand alone to keep the stars of the future here. To mould another superstar like Roger Tuivasa-Sheck requires support from the ground up," says One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.
“Everyone wants to see outstanding young players coming through our system and Sky Sport Future Warriors will make that a reality.”
The Sky Sport Future Warriors programme aims to develop and retain youth players in New Zealand. Events including camps and a roadshow have been regular features since it was launched.
The New Zealand Warriors honour the mana of the Indigenous peoples of Aotearoa, Australia and the Pacific. We acknowledge the traditional kaitiaki of the lands, elders past and present, their stories, their traditions, their mamae and their mana motuhake.
